Frequently Asked Questions


When does the course start and finish?
You will get instant access to the fan veil basics module and combination 1 when you register. The course officially begins on March 24 and the first live class will be held on March 29th. It is a seven-week course, so the last live class will happen on May 10th. After that you will continue to have access to all the material inside the course for an entire year - until April 1, 2026.
What kind of fan veil do I need for this choreography?
This choreography works best with a large single right hand flutter fan veil. It can also be learned with a more typical long fan veil, though some of the skills will be a bit more challenging. (I recommend Silk-Bamboo for a nice flutter fan veil at a reasonable price and great customer service.)
When will the live classes be held?
The timing of the live Zoom classes will be determined by polling the registered students. I try my best to find a time that most everyone can do. Most live classes typically occur on Saturdays around 10am CDT, but we will schedule a small variety of times to catch as many dancers as possible. Plus, every class is recorded and put into the course right after it happens!
I'm not good with technology. Will someone be there to help me if I get stuck?
Absolutely! This is the best part of this hybrid format. Between the live weekly classes and the online community, you have access to me, my team and a fabulous group of dancers who are by your side throughout the entire journey. We are here to help!
I am new to the flutter fan veil. Will this choreography be too hard for me?
This is an intermediate-level choreography. That being said, you will receive a step-by-step breakdown for each movement and technique that you need to successfully learn the piece, so a dedicated dancer willing to spend a bit of extra time to drill the foundational techniques can certainly accomplish this choreography.
