The Art of the Drum Solo

From Steps to Stage-Ready

A 9-week transformational choreography experience designed to help you truly embody your drum solo.

This isn’t about learning more flashy tricks.

It’s about learning how to:

❤ Hear the Music Differently

❤ Create Dynamic Contrast

❤ Transition Smoothly

❤ Feel Grounded and Powerful

And then…

We bring it all together in a vibrant, expressive

4-minute drum solo choreography

that you’ll truly understand — not just memorize.

If your drum solos have ever felt rushed...
disconnected...
or like you're just trying to keep up.

You are not alone.

Most dancers are taught steps… but not how to truly dance the drum solo.

How the Experience Works

This is a guided creative journey — structured enough to move you forward, spacious enough to let you grow.

Each week you’ll receive:

  • Thoughtfully built combinations
  • Clear, step-by-step technique explanations
  • Short, digestible lessons
  • Written choreography notes for continued refinement

Every other week, we meet live online to:

  • Focus on texture, transitions and musical interpretation
  • Refine details
  • Answer your questions
  • Dance the material together
  • Deepen your understanding

You’ll also have access to our supportive online community space — a place to ask questions, share wins, and feel encouraged every step of the way.

What dancers say

"I love the weekly lesson system! It keeps you focused and accountable. This is not a course that you buy and put off completing for years (we’ve all done it). This system makes it a breeze to invest just a couple hours a week into your dance and you come out with a dazzling choreography. It’s a wonderful feeling!"

- Ashley

"The intensive format has been the best thing since sliced bread. I love that I can learn at my own speed, spending extra time on moves that are more difficult for me. With this format, I can spend the time I need on the choreography and figure out where I am having problems or have questions. Each week, I look forward to the group meeting. It is nice to listen to your fabulous tips and learn from the questions that others ask. Not to mention how great it is to connect with others from all over the world."

- Roxy

"This intensive has given me so much more than a 4 minute choreography. The short video clips were easy to access for that 15 minute break. The quantity each week were not too many to overwhelm. I loved that you identified areas that may need more detailed breakdown. All of these little bites of practice brought awareness to my dancing overall. Now I’m more aware of my weaknesses and can feel the improvement. It makes me giggle a little. In retrospect, the choreography was just the tool to improve my overall dance quality. I thank you and hope to do it again!"

- Therese

The Real Transformation

Nine weeks from now, the drum solo begins.

Instead of worry what comes next…

You're confident and ready.

You’re not thinking,
“What move comes next?”

You’re enjoying how it feels.

That’s the art of the drum solo.

And once you experience it, you’ll never approach this dance the same way again.

Frequently Asked Questions

After the showcase you can download the final walkthrough and dance with music videos to keep forever. Access to the online course material ends on March 30, 2027.
When will the live classes be held?
Live classes will be held on April 4, April 18, May 9 and May 30 from 10-11am CST. All classes will be recorded and added to the course as well.
Will someone be there to help me if I get stuck?
Absolutely! This is the best part of this hybrid format. Between the live classes and the community, you have access to Sahira and her team and a fabulous group of dancers who are by your side throughout the entire journey.

I’ve been teaching belly dance for over 20 years, and one thing I see again and again is this:

Dancers are given more moves…
but not the tools to make those moves feel intentional.

That’s why drum solos often feel overwhelming instead of expressive.

Inside this intensive, I teach a different approach—one that helps you understand the why behind what you’re doing, so your dancing feels grounded, musical, and fully your own.

Transform your dance.
